Dr Ria Smuts studied at the University of Pretoria from 1975 to 1990 where she obtained the following qualifications:

Dr Ria Smuts started her practical working career as a Technical Assistant in the Department of Physiology at the University of Pretoria. This was followed by her Medical Internship. She established a Private Dietetic Practice on a part-time basis whilst obtaining her MSc (Diet) and DSc (Physiology) degrees and she established her Private Medical and Dietetic Practice in 1992.

She thus has more than 28 years’ experience and is practising in the Randburg area since 1992. She has expert knowledge of the human body and its functions.
